Terms of Service

Effective 2026-10-15

This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between [사업자명] (“we”, “us”) and users of “chckmy” (the “Service”), the URL shortener and link-in-bio service we provide at chck.my.

2. Definitions

  1. “User” means any member or visitor who uses the Service.
  2. “Member” means a person who signs in with Google or an email magic link and agrees to these Terms.
  3. “Short link” means an address in the form chck.my/code that redirects to a URL the Member provides.
  4. “Link page” means a public web page at chck.my/@handle that a Member builds with a profile and blocks such as link buttons.
  5. “Content” means any information a Member submits, including URLs, text, image addresses and handles.
  6. “Paid plan” means a plan such as Pro or Brand that requires payment.

3. Posting and changes

  1. We post these Terms in the Service (“Terms” in the footer).
  2. We may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  3. We announce changes, with the effective date and reason, at least 7 days in advance — or 30 days in advance, also by email, for changes unfavourable to Members.
  4. If you keep using the Service after the effective date without objecting, you are deemed to accept the amended Terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account.

4. Accounts

  1. You sign up by signing in with Google or an email magic link. The agreement is formed when you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
  2. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
  3. You are responsible for your sign-in account and your Service account, and must tell us promptly if you learn of unauthorised use.
  4. We may refuse or later terminate accounts that use someone else's identity or were previously restricted for breaching these Terms.

5. The Service

  1. Creating and managing short links, QR codes and UTM parameters
  2. Building and publishing link pages (blocks, themes, social icons, etc.)
  3. Viewing click counts for short links and link buttons
  4. Other features we develop or provide with partners

What each plan includes (number of link pages and short links, custom codes, watermark removal, etc.) is as shown on the pricing page.

6. Changes and interruptions

  1. We may change all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and will give advance notice of changes that significantly affect Members.
  2. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, failures, network or cloud-provider outages, natural disasters or similar unavoidable causes.
  3. If we discontinue the Service, we will give 30 days' notice and refund the unused portion of paid plans under Section 8.
  1. Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”). Polar handles payment processing, invoicing, receipts and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes, and Polar's own terms and privacy policy apply to your purchase.
  2. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically for the same period until you cancel.
  3. The amount charged is the amount shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes.
  4. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance; new prices apply from your next renewal after the notice.
  5. Payment card details are handled by Polar; we do not store them.

8. Withdrawal, cancellation, refunds

  1. You may withdraw from a purchase and receive a full refund within 7 days of payment if you have not used any paid features (Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Art. 17).
  2. If you have already used paid features (e.g. created custom codes or removed the watermark), withdrawal may be limited as permitted by law; we will tell you this before you pay.
  3. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from Billing in your dashboard. You keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for, after which your account moves to the Free plan.
  4. If you could not use the Service due to our fault, we will refund or extend the affected period.
  5. Refunds are issued by Polar to the original payment method; timing depends on your card issuer. Contact: [문의 이메일]

9. Prohibited conduct

  1. Linking to phishing, fraud, malware or sites that steal personal data
  2. Using short links for spam or to evade search-engine or security filters
  3. Content that is illegal under Korean or other applicable law (illegal gambling, obscene material, drugs, illegal medicines, etc.) or links to it
  4. Infringing others' copyrights, trademarks or likeness rights, or impersonating others
  5. Squatting on handles (@handle) or codes in order to sell or transfer them
  6. Mass-creating short links by automated means or placing excessive load on the Service
  7. Bypassing security measures or accessing our systems without authorisation
  8. Any other conduct that violates applicable law or these Terms

10. Link scanning, blocking, reports

  1. To protect users, we may check destination URLs using our basic URL policy and report reviews.
  2. We may block short links or link pages that breach — or are reasonably suspected of breaching — Section 9, show visitors a warning page, or delete them, without prior notice.
  3. Anyone can report a suspicious short link on the Report page; we review reports and act as needed.
  4. Members may appeal an action by writing to [문의 이메일].

11. Your content

  1. You own, and are responsible for, the content you submit.
  2. You grant us a free licence to reproduce, transmit and display your content to the extent needed to operate, display and promote the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
  3. We own the rights in the Service's design, logos and software.

12. Restriction and termination

  1. You can close your account at any time in settings. Your link pages and short links will be deleted and stop working, and your personal data will be destroyed as described in the Privacy Policy, except where the law requires us to keep it.
  2. If you breach Section 9 we may warn, suspend or permanently ban you. Where there is an immediate risk to others (e.g. phishing or malware), we may terminate immediately.
  3. If your account is restricted or terminated for your breach, refunds of the remaining paid period may be limited as permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

  1. We are not responsible for the content, products or transactions of external sites that short links or link pages point to.
  2. We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters or cloud or network provider outages.
  3. For free features, we are not liable except in cases of our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
  4. If we breach these Terms and cause you loss, we will compensate you as required by law. Except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the loss occurred.

14. Notices

We send notices to your sign-in email address or display them in the Service (e.g. in the dashboard). Notices to all users may be given by posting in the Service for at least 7 days.

15. Governing law

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Disputes are subject to the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. This does not prevent you from bringing a claim in the court of your place of residence.

Effective date

These Terms take effect on 2026-10-15.
